Dr. Alex Delgado earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Rowan University, his Master of Arts in Applied Sociology from Montclair State University, and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Rowan University.
Dr. Delgado brings over 20 years of experience working with underrepresented students in higher education. He has served in various leadership roles throughout his career that focused on increasing the retention and graduation rates of first-generation, low-income students. As a first-generation college graduate and participant in an opportunity program, he has firsthand experience of our students’ many challenges.
Presently, he serves as the Assistant Dean for Student Success at Middlesex College, where he provides administrative oversight and leadership for student support offices that include EOF, Counseling & Student Wellness Center, Accessibility Office, Military and Veteran Office, and the Academic, Career, and Transfer Office. In addition, he serves as a Member at Large for the Educational Opportunity Fund Professional Association, an NJ Board Member for the Tri-State Consortium on Opportunity Program, NASPA Latinx/a/o Knowledge Community Region II Chair, and a member of Lambda Theta Phi, Latin Fraternity, Inc.
