The University at Buffalo (UB) invites inquiries, nominations and applications for the position of Principal Education Specialist (Director) within Student Support Services (SSS).

SSS is a federally-funded TRIO grant program and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. The mission of the SSS Program is to provide comprehensive academic support services that increase the retention and graduation rates of eligible undergraduate participants by fostering academic success in a supportive educational and holistic advising environment at the University at Buffalo. The SSS Program at UB serves a minimum of 275 participants.

Casey, this leader will serve as a key strategic advisor to the president and as a vital member of the University Cabinet. Successful candidates will bring emotional intelligence and strong communication and conflict-resolution skills to charged issues in order to move the institution forward in its ambitions. A terminal degree is preferred, but not required.

Tri-State Consortium Board Meeting set for March 5

The next meeting of the Tri-State Consortium Board will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 10:00 am.

The meeting will be held at Arcadia University, 450 S. Easton Road,  Glenside, PA, 19038, in the Commons  Meeting Room # 1. See campus map for more information.

Required documents include an agenda for the meeting and a Tri-State 2020 overview discussion document.  They were mailed to Board members.

If you are not able to attend the meeting, please notify Audrey Bennerson, Tri-State Recording Secretary, as she needs to know who will be holding your voting proxy.

EOFPANJ Conference Seeks Proposals and Participants

The EOF Professional Association of NJ (EOFPANJ) will host its biennial spring conference at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ from April 14-17, 2020.  The conference theme is “Cultivating a Generation of Greatness”. The focus of this conference is to engage education professionals in conversations regarding trends in higher education and practices that support or hinder student success.  Register at EOFPANJ 2020 Spring Conference Registration. 

Additionally, the conference committee would welcome proposal submissions that will share information regarding challenges and successes of Opportunity Programs within the Tri-State Consortium experience. These workshops would initiate or continue discussions that move students towards academic success and college graduation.
