Kudos to Tri-State Consortium President Phyllis Breland on her most recent honor from The Opportunity Program (OP) at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
She was recognized in her retirement for her career and dedication to student success through the renaming of the former Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) in McEwen Hall to the The Phyllis A.H. Breland Center for Academic Excellence.
The Center is a space located near the OP office that provides students with a comfortable space to study and complete their work, either as individuals or in groups, as well as access to coffee, tea, and comfortable seating. This center is open seven days a week during the academic year and is staffed by students in OP provides access to a high quality liberal arts education for talented and motivated students.
