Dr. Stephanie Shanklin is currently the Assistant Director of EOF at the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE). Prior to coming to OSHE, Stephanie worked at Rutgers and The College of New Jersey where she was an administrator. Dr. Shanklin is a former EOF student, graduating from Rutgers University—Camden (1998) with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning and Fairleigh Dickinson University (2003) with a Master of Arts in Administrative Science. She has earned her Doctor of Education in Innovation and Leadership degree from Wilmington University (2016) where her dissertation focused on the importance of toxic stress screening, mandatory training, program development, and implementation. Her research also focused on the scope of toxic stress, the impact toxic stress has on a child’s health, social and emotional development, and the lifetime consequences. Dr. Shanklin has worked with opportunity programs for more than 20 years.
