EOF Proposed Amendements: Comments Requested

Please be advised that the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Board of Directors has proposed amendments to the Educational Opportunity Fund Administrative Procedures and Policies rules at N.J.A.C. 9A:11-2.8, 5.4, & 6.1.

The proposed amendments to the EOF rules at N.J.A.C. 9A:11-2.8, 5.4 & 6.1 will allow the EOF Board of Directors to permit high school students who participate in either a dual enrollment program or an advanced college preparatory program (where the student has earned either an associate’s degree or 24 or more college credits as part of their completion requirements to earn a high school diploma) to eligible for participation in the EOF pre-first year summer program and to realign the EOF funding priority consideration for students who participated within a dual enrolment program or an advanced college preparatory program. Additionally, pursuant to section 1 of P.L. 2018, c. 144 (N.J.S.A. 18A:3B-78), the proposed amendments to N.J.A.C. 9A:11-2.8 have been proposed to bring EOF regulations into alignment with the law that permits participating county colleges to award an EOF academic term grant to students who are enrolled in a three-plus-one program during the student’s third academic year of the program.

Advertise or become a Vendor

Interested in advertising at this year’s event? We invite your respective campus programs, external organizations, friends and colleagues to consider advertising, attending as a vendor or even donating items for this year’s event. You can either submit an journal ad, attend as a vendor or donate items for the conference. All items must be received by April 10, 2019.

Register for the Conference

Tri-State Conference Registration is now open. Regular registration ends on February 20, 2019.

The conference will take place at the Long Island Marriott, 101 James Doolittle Boulevard, Uniondale, NY 11553. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-228-9290 or clicking the hotel link. When reserving your room, simply mention that you are with the Tri-State Consortium and you will receive a discounted rate of $159 per night plus state and local fees and taxes; all reservations must be accompanied with a major credit card. In order to take advantage of the $159 rate, reservations must be made no later than Friday, March 22, 2019.
