Does College Pay Off?

Dr. Glenn Lang shared a Forbes article called “New Research Reveals True Value Of College Education” (please note that Forbes limits the number of free articles you can view in a month) that focuses on a May 2024 white paper “Does College Pay Off? A Comprehensive Return On Investment Analysis“.

Simply put, the Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity reveals that bachelor’s degree holders earn a median $32,112 more annually than high school graduates. This translates to approximately $625,000 in additional lifetime earnings even after accounting for the lost years while in college alongside other benefits and long-term financial stability in employment.
