The University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando seeks their inaugural vice president for equity, inclusion and diversity.
Reporting to President Cartwright and as a member of his executive leadership team, the vice president for equity, inclusion and diversity will:
- lead the development of a comprehensive vision and strategy that champions evidence-based practices and the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the context of a dynamic, multi-campus university with strong local, regional, and national impact;
- serve as both an executive resource and a partner in collaborating with UCF colleagues, as well as local and regional leaders;
- be responsible for evaluating the institution’s DEI infrastructure, capacity, and operational activities to work toward the optimal balance of centralized and decentralized efforts; and
- hold an advanced degree (master’s or above) and significant senior leadership experience in higher education or a similar dynamic environment.
