Taft School seeks a full-time Dean of Community, Belonging, and Justice

The Taft School seeks a full-time Dean of Community, Belonging, and Justice for an August 1, 2021 start.

The dean leads the school’s mission to educate the whole student by working to ensure Taft is a community where all members feel they belong and are valued. The dean’s responsibilities will center around programmatic leadership related to race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, gender identity, cultural identity, and intersectionality.

The Dean is a member of the senior administrative team and will frequently report to the Board of Trustees. Core qualifications include a demonstrated commitment to the tenets described in the school’s Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Portrait of the Graduate; a Master’s degree; at least three years of relevant experience; and, interest in joining a residential community that serves a diverse student body.
