Clinical Counselor-BIPOC Focus

Marist College Office of Counseling Services is seeking a full-time clinical counselor possessing interest and clinical experience working with students who identify as Black/African American, Indigenous and Persons of Color (BIPOC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge about the specific developmental, academic, and mental health concerns of BIPOC students. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of intersectionality and how it impacts the daily lives of students including but not limited to international, first-generation, students with disabilities, and LGBTQ+. This 9-month position involves provision of a range of services to a diverse student population, including intakes; individual counseling; group counseling; consultations; crisis intervention; on-call rotation; and innovative outreach programming. Counseling Services is committed to enhancing student mental health through accessible, culturally-informed care and contributing to a campus culture of inclusiveness, equity and wellness.

Assistant Director, Center for Advising & Academic Services

Marist College invites applications for the position of Assistant Director, for the Center for Advising & Academic Services. Reporting to the Director of the Center for Advising and Academic Services, the Assistant Director provides administrative support and coordination for student advising services, and helps to execute policies and programs that enforce the academic standards at Marist College. The role of the Assistant Director in the Center for Advising & Academic Services (CAAS) is critical in the retention and academic development of students. They serve as the point of contact for students on high risk academic probation, and assist with undergraduate academic review, and withdrawals from the College. Additionally, they coordinate advisor assignments, and assist in academic exceptions and in maintaining the department social media presence.

Director of Academic Advising

The School of Communication and the Arts at Marist College invites applications for a Director of Academic Advising. We seek a student-centered, collaborative candidate who is up-to-date in the latest best practices in advising and promoting student success. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Communication and the Arts, the goal of this position is to foster and support holistic student academic development from first year and beyond. The Director will work with faculty, chairs, staff and students within the school, and will coordinate and liaise with the Registrar, Center for Advising and Academic Services, the Office of Accommodations and Accessibility, Athletics, Student Affairs, and the Office of International Programs.
