Iowa State University Seeks VP for Diversity

Iowa State University, a place where adventurous minds are encouraged to accomplish amazing things, is classified as a Carnegie Foundation Doctoral/Research University-Extensive and ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top public universities in the nation. The new vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion will:

  • serve as the university’s chief diversity officer and advise senior leadership about strategic diversity planning and implementation efforts that advance the university’s mission and vision;
  • collaborate with key university stakeholders to enhance the coordination of current cultural and educational programs that increase awareness, appreciation, and engagement for diversity and inclusion for students, staff, and faculty;
  • develop initiatives to increase institutional diversity of faculty, staff, and students through recruitment, retention, and development of underrepresented populations;
  • serve as an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion within the university, and the community.

Review of applications will begin on October 15, 2021 and continue until the position is filled.
