Brown University seeks a Vice President for Institutional Equity and Diversity who will:
- provide strategic leadership to Brown’s efforts to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment;
- report to the President, serve on the President’s Cabinet and Executive Committee, and work with the University’s governing body on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion;
- lead the campus-wide implementation of Brown’s Pathways to Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) and Phase II of the DIAP, which is expected to launch later this spring; and
- oversee the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity, coordinate education and training efforts, measure and report on progress toward DIAP goals, and manage non-discrimination and other forms of compliance related to protected classes.
